I’m Elly. People call me Ellyoracle (because I know useful bits of information like where to find out a postcode and when bands are playing). I live in Leeds. I like bashing bits of silver about, and quite a lot of music (not bashing it about mind, that would be weird). I can do paracetamol-pushing quite well. Pretty things, funny things, Icelandic things and things that aren’t small-minded are good too. And I really like asymmetry. And cats.
Here are some of the thoughts that pop into my head, run around a bit and then pop back out again. This is my personal blog. If you are looking for my writing portfolio, then head over to ellyoracle.com.
If you want to get in touch then I’d love to hear from you, and please do leave a comment if you’ve enjoyed reading any of my posts, it makes me feel loved! (Obviously clicks on the “like” and/or “share” buttons make me feel quite loved too).
If you want to say something more specific then you can always tweet me, or drop me a line on ellyoracleATgmailDOTcom.
I hope you like x

Thanks Felix, I’ve no idea where that came from, I like to think of it as a little hello present from WordPress

Hi, Elly!
I just stumbled across your blog while I was looking for things about Kimuka and the Ngong Hills because I am going to be volunteering there in about a week and a half for a month.
I must say, I LOVE IT! You really did a great job and you seem like you had a great impact on the people there, as I’m sure they did you.
If you’re looking for a similar adventure, I traveled to Ghana for 2.5 months last summer with VPWA and fell in love! You should definitely check it out if you’re looking for something ever again.
I hope you are well and still making a difference somewhere.
Best,
Sam
Hey cool! Say hi to everyone from me, especially Virginia (everyone knows Virginia) and Teachers Samson, Eve and Faith if you’re going to the school. Have a great time, 2 weeks isn’t long to “achieve” much as I’m sure you know so just enjoy meeting people! Let me know how it goes x
